The church of the Archangel was built in 1717, as indicated by the inscription “located on the upper part of the threshold of the main entrance”. Explicitly, the inscription informs us that: "The sacred church of Taxiarch Michael was built in 1717. The will and money belonged to Savvas and Maria. Christofis was the builder. "
The church falls under the type of one-roomed churches with an arched roof. Natural light is limited in the church, as it has no windows and only two doors, one on the north side of the building and one on the south. The latter, according to the inscription located “on the outer part of its threshold” was added during the 19th century, specifically in 1857.
It is worth mentioning that the church dedicated to Archangel Michael was pronounced as an ancient monument and it is under the protection of the Antiquity Department. In 1991, the Antiquity Department repaired the roof and works for the embellishment of the churchyard. To be more specific, the Department works for the transfer of the graves located in the parvis and then to pave the churchyard with slabs. Additionally, the Antiquity Department wishes to restore the surrounding wall, located on the south part of the church.
Concluding, it is worth mentioning that the church of Archangel Michael is one of the older churches in the region.
