It is worth mentioning that the church dedicated to Archangel Michael was pronounced as an ancient monument and it is under the protection of the Antiquity Department. In 1991, the Antiquity Department repaired the roof and works for the embellishment of the churchyard. To be more specific, the Department works for the transfer of the graves located in the parvis and then to pave the churchyard with slabs. Additionally, the Antiquity Department wishes to restore the surrounding wall, located on the south part of the church.
Concluding, it is worth mentioning that the church of Archangel Michael is one of the older churches in the region.
Church of Virgin Mary the Leader
The church dedicated to Virgin Mary the Leader is located in the centre of the village. It was built at the beginning of the 20th century, specifically in 1929. The construction of the church is owed to churchwardens Michael Konstantis, Charalambos Eugeniou, Kostis Konari and Michel Voskos. The latter, even bestowed the land in which the church was built.
Demetris Chariklis was the builder who took on the construction of the church without getting paid.
Nicos Christou notes that the construction of the church meant that the inhabitants would not have to reach the small chapel of Archangel Michael, which was located in a gnarled, for the time, area.
Chapel of Prophet Elias
The chapel dedicated to Prophet Elias was built in 2004, on the foundations of the old chapel dedicated to the Prophet.
The construction of the church is owed to Erasmia Papachristophorou-Goliti and Zenonas Voskarides. Erasmia, as noted in her will, donated money for the construction of the church. Zenonas Voskarides and his family took all necessary actions so as to achieve the construction of the church.
The small chapel was built during the ‘70’s and is located in “Maythkia” area. It was constructed expenditure of the late Christos Gregoriou. It is a small, one-roomed chapel.
