The water of the river running spring from “Pouziaris” area in Troodos. The river is the only “natural border” dividing the Greek and Turkish settlement of the village. “A green landscape with vegetable gardens” is spread along the river banks.

Sayttas area, with its “small but of exquisite beauty dam” falls under the administrative authority of Moniatis. Karouzis mentions that “the moments spent there next to the dam with the colors of emerald and rich vegetation mirroring in the lake are pleasant and unique”.
Visitors can enjoy the magnitude of nature while experiencing one of the many trails. What is more, they can enjoy the waterfalls and Mesa Potamos, known as the “environmental lung”.

Extremely imposing is the age-long pine tree located at the entrance of the village. According to Nicos Christou Ioannides, some of the inhabitants of the village used to gather pine-nuts (pinolia) and used them in shoutzoukos production.
Concluding, there are springs of sulpherous water in Moniatis, known for their therapeutic results. These medicinal water springs will be developed and utilized in the near future.
