The Community Council of Moniatis aims to the betterment and embellishment of the community. Projects that have already been completed and projects scheduled follow.

• WATER-SUPPLY  

The largest part of the water supply system has been replaced. Specifically, a main water tank (500 cubic meters) was constructed and the quantity of the water was reinforced with “Kaminouthkia” spring and the bore for water next to the water tank. What is more, the replacement/improvement of the network and the automatization of the bore are scheduled. 

• TOWN PLANNING ZONES

The zones were established in 1990 and according to the decision of the C.C., they cover all the areas of the community with road networks. The zones added to the development of the community, as there are big areas within the zones that could be further developed. With the revisal of the zones, the C.C. will mostly seek to improve the form factor with small extensions. It must be noted that the construction of the new Limassol-Sayttas highway will add to the rapid development of the area and our community, which has the required infrastructure.

• PARKS

The community council has turned the old abattoir into a community park/playground with a kiosk and keeps a great green park at R M SAITTAS. The embellishment of all parks located near inhabited areas is scheduled.

• ROAD ENTRIES

The C.C. aims to enter all roads as public roads with the written consent of all owners. Where it is not possible abalienation is promoted. What is more, the demarcation of the roads from the owners or specialized crews has been scheduled.

• STAFF

For the completion of the projects of the C.C., a Secretary, Quill Driver, Technician from the Water-supply, driver and workers for garbage disposal transferred to BATI. Dismissible workers, mostly for clearing are hired. It must be noted that the community has been many times awarded for its cleanliness.   

• WEBPAGE

The C.C. has created its own webpage, which will be upgraded and will host all the activities and services offered by the community.

• OPEN THEATRE

A small theatre for the performances has been constructed next to the Community Park. A monument with the bust of hero Panikos Pourgourides was constructed in the same space.

• EMBELLISHMENT OF THE CENTRAL SQAURE OF THE COMMUNITY NICOLAS AVGOYSTI

The embellishment of the square located at the front of the plot of land where the Cultural Centre is to be built is scheduled.

• CONSTRUCTION OF A SQUARE-ACTIVITY CENTRE IN PLOTS 596,597 NP47/21

The location is right next to the community park and the theatre. The plans for the necessitated license have already been given to Town planning services with the file number 2273/06. The above mentioned space will also serve as an open cultural centre and as a parking place because there is a serious problem with parking in the highway, as it places in danger the safety of many people. 

• EMBELLISHMENT OF THE COMMUNITY CENTRE

Nicolas Avgoustis road, located at the centre of the community has already been embellished. To be more specific, the road has been paved with slabs, illuminated with lanterns and the walls along the road have been embellished with local stone.
The C.C. schedules the continuation of the embellishment project of all the roads within the centre. 

• ROAD NETWORK

The improvement and conservation of the existing public road network (asphalts, anti-flood projects, improvement of rural roads).

• RESTORATION OF THE OLIVE-MILL

The preparation of plans regarding the completion of the project has been appointed to an architect.

• CONSTRUCTION OF STADIUM FOR YOUNG PEOPLE

The construction of a sports centre for young people is scheduled. The town planning service is to give a response for a government plot of land next to the Public Kindergarten.

• HALL

The construction of a multiple usage hall that will cover the needs of the area is being planned after the meeting the Eparch of Limassol had with the President, Secretary and Priest of the community. To be more specific, the Eparch promised to bestow a plot of land to the C.C. on lease, located near the camp of the holy Eparchy.  

• SAYTTAS DOUBLE BRIDGE

The double bridge is the natural border between Moniatis and Trimiklini. It was built in 1901 according to the inscription. The C.C. of Moniatis, after the suggestion of the Public Works Department, decided to plan the embellishment of the street in which the monument is located.  

• NATURE TRAIL

The Council took on the creation of Nature Trails.

• SULPHUREOUS WATERS

The Community Council considers the development of the springs and bores for water with sulphureous waters located in private properties.
